From : JMS Subject : 1. FM stations are geared to broadcast stereo signals. The listener can by adjusting rt left controls can receive each broadcast seperately. There are many occasions for ex on a sports cast that two teams in two different arenas are battling it out for a coveted prize. Listeners are obliged to switch from station to station to keep up. With a FM capable of broadcasting stereo you can send two different signals.l Also on talk shows on channell of the stereo spectrum can signal the current talk show and the other a different talk show. two for the prioce of one . Or the same talker can send "the best of" over his other channel. I don't know the tecknigues of tv broacast signals but I bet you can send two signals over the same channel in diffeent contrast and the receiver by manipulating the contrast knob could pick them up. 2. Can a time signal be sent over the airwaves that automatically sets clocks with radios to the correct time ? 3. Many listeners are slaves of certain talk shows be it Howard Stern or sports stations - WFAM. Would it not be a great promotional gimmick for a Stern to give to his listeners a small rado that receives only his wave lenght ? Would a radio with only one wave lenght be relatively cheaper to produce and thus be a practical giveaway ?
