2-3-06 PJ Ray

PJ had been told about rotating breaks.  On February 2nd she was asked to relieve the 2 operators in warping. She did relieve Betty and then she left for lunch with the other operator leaving the machine standing.

I made inquiries and the operator she left with indicated to me that her lunch ride was with her.

On 2-3-06 I discussed again with PJ about rotating breaks and I asked her if she knew what I was talking about.  She said she understood that she was supposed to relieve Betty.  I explained to her that that was not what was meant.  I advised her that we were making every effort to run machines through the break periods. I told her that it was necessary to pay the bills and that she should relieve both operators in order to keep the 2 machines running. I also told her that I understood that the reason she left on 2-3 was because she needed Carla for a ride to lunch.  She acknowledged that.  I asked her, since she didn't have a car, if she thought about bringing her lunch with her "unless there was something else she had to do at lunch".  She said there was not.  She also said she didn't care about going to lunch. And I suggested that she bring her lunch rather than rely on someone else to take her.

Went into the creel and was complaining about break rotation to Betty. Was complaining about our conversation which again requested that she rotate breaks. Told Betty, "He's gonna tell me I can't go to f-ing lunch and act like I'm smoking f-ing pot at lunch I don't smoke f-ing pot  ".  Betty told her "what does smokin pot have to do with it?" She should be talking to me about eating lunch. She complained some more. Then she pushed the pole at Betty and an argument and near physical fight ensued.
