Affadavit of Julia Frank Feb 19 1895

I have this house on 25 and Lex Ave, NY and rent rooms.

Last summer about July a couple calling themselves Mr. and Mrs. Simonds rented a room of mine and lived --- ----
-----.

She looked older than he. She called the man her husband and they occupied the same room and lived together as man and wife.  I think they were married.  She said it was her second husband and that her children were mad that she married again.

	Her daughter might be 19 or 20 called on her --- ---- ----. She said their children were in the Orphan Asylum.  She said the children that called on her were living with her mother. 
	I don't know when they --- ---- -- and have not seen them since.  I thought she had some pension. Neither of them worked.  She said her husband was a prize-fighter.  I can't remember whether the first names of either were. Both came together --- ---- ---- ----- ----.  
	They were respectable when they were here.  They left because they could not pay the rent.
	The man ---- younger than the woman.
	I had never the slightest doubt while they were here that they were married. She said she was a fool to have married him as he did not take care of her.  She looked 10 or 12 years older than him.  He looked 35 or 36 and she nearly 50.
	This has been read to me and is correct.
