RE: Tree Root and Sidewalk At 336 East 56th Street, Manhattan

To Whom It May Concern:

The root system of the single tree in front of 336 East 56th Street, New York, NY, has raised the adjacent sidewalk slab, causing a trip hazard.

The condition is visible on google street view.  See attached photo.

We attempted several times to report the tree through the NYC Parks website but the the reporting mechanism appears to be our of order. We repeatedly receive an error message related to the website itself as follows:

"An unexpected error has occurred. If you don't receive a confirmation email in the next few minutes, please try again"

We are not qualified or permitted to address the root system of the tree which is certainly necessary.

We request that the NYC Parks and Recreation Department inspect and repair the sidewalk as soon as possible.
